Club emails and GDPR

As we align our contact preferences with new data protection (GDPR) law, only members registered via the online British Cycling tool will receive club emails in future, including group ride details. The old website that includes our distribution lists is being phased out and all data will be deleted.

If you aren’t yet a member and wish to join please find more information here

Important Information relating to New GDPR

Dear All

As you are aware we now have a new website www . northcotswoldcc . org . uk and with the onset of the new EU General Data protection laws becoming effective on 25th May 2018 we have decided that we will be moving away from Group spaces and the services it offers us as a club.

We will in the next couple of weeks move over to British Cycling club management. It will offer us the ability to communicate with all members as we do at present, but more importantly give us as a club the peace of mind that all data protection is adhered to correctly and offers us as a club the tools to mange the new regulations correctly.

As a consequence this means that our email system will now only send emails to Club members and those of you who are not members but are registered with Group spaces will no longer receive club information unless you join the club. If you do not wish to join then relevant information can obviously be found on our website and social media platforms, details of which are on the website.

I hope this is clear but if not or you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me.

All the best

Welcome to our new web site!

Our new web site is now ‘live’ at this new address:

The new site is ‘responsive’ – meaning that you should be able to view it comfortably on large screens, tablets, and mobile phones.

Please note that the ‘old’ domain name still points to our old GroupSpaces web site for the time being – so please ‘bookmark’ this new address.

Most of our old content has been transferred over from GroupSpaces, then reviewed, improved and updated.
As we settle into this new home and add further information, you should find all Club related information that you need here.

We hope you like the new site… feedback is welcome via our Contact page

Cotswold Council’s map of cycle routes

Cotswold District Council’s web site includes some maps of recommended cycle routes:

“Britain’s largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies mostly within Gloucestershire and offers a fantastic opportunity for cycling.

The rolling hills of the Cotswolds dip gently down to the Thames in the South East with a steep scarp slope along the north western edge, providing a great variety of terrain to explore – from easy to challenging. An extensive network of country lanes link the famous Cotswold villages and market towns leading away from the hustle and bustle. There is a tremendous choice of routes with an ever changing view. Miles of bridleways and byways offer plenty of scope for mountain bikers. Ancient green lanes mixed with farm tracks are all set in the heart of beautiful Cotswold countryside.”
