North Cotswold Cycling Club

About NCCC

North Cotswold Cycling Club (NCCC) is a friendly and welcoming club focusing on running well organised group rides in the beautiful North Cotswold countryside. With iconic Cotswold villages to pass through (Broadway, Lower Slaughter, Bourton on the Water), iconic climbs to master (Snowshill, Dovers, Sudeley Hill), and beautiful vistas once you have made it to the top; it’s hard to imagine a nicer place to ride. Add into the mix the chance to socialise with like minded people and you have the perfect combination.

HOME OF OUR CLUB IS COTSWOLD CYCLES & THE REVOLUTION CAFE in Moreton in Marsh and we’re so lucky to have such fantastic facilities under one roof. One important thing to consider for ALL cyclists is the importance of a professional Bike Fit. To find out more about this and all of the other services here’s the link to Cotswold Cycles there is always a coffee and a friendly chat on all of your visits. All the rides are led by trained ride leaders who know the routes and help marshal the rides. The group rides cater for varying levels of fitness and you are welcome to come along and try a ride before deciding whether to join the club. All you need is a road worthy bike and a helmet.

Young Riders

The club also caters for younger riders with its ‘Go-Ride’ sessions which is British Cycling’s development programme for young cyclists. The sessions provide a safe and fun way to improve bike handling skills and introduce young riders to the exciting world of cycle sport. Go-Ride is run by a dedicated group of British Cycling qualified coaches (all DBS checked) at a quiet off road location, so there really isn’t a better way for your child to improve, no matter what standard they currently ride at. Go-Ride sessions are run on Saturday mornings for several 6 week blocks, throughout the year.

Children and young people are also welcome on all club group rides where they are fit enough to keep up with the group. Parents of children under fourteen are required to accompany their children until the child has demonstrated the ability and maturity to ride independently.

Go Racing

Informal bike racing events are run periodically throughout the year for people wishing to try out various disciplines of racing (road, MTB, cyclocross). These events are run on an off road location where it is safe to get out there and give it a go.

Sportives

Reliability Ride – is held every March to raise money for Cyclists Fighting Cancer. There is a 30 and 50 mile route to chose – both being good Spring events to aim for.

Four Shires Sportive – every June NCCC supports Cyclists Fighting Cancer in running their Sportive. There are 3 challenging routes to aim for, each with some iconic Cotswold hills to conquer (50m, 75m, 100m).
